After a smash debut, improv comedy (with a twist) returns to the Highland Arts Theatre with all-new Truths, all-new Lies, and all-new laughs!

No Word Of A Lie 2

Equal parts game show, talk show, improv competition, and party game, NO WORD OF A LIE features Alex Poirier (Tough Call, The Best Brothers), Mark Delaney (Jack and the Beanstalk, Every Brilliant Thing), Carol Anne Gillis (See Jane Run), Aaron Corbett (Cabaret, Little Shop of Horrors), Amy Fedora (West Moon), and Mahesh Prabhu (Pride and Prejudice) competing against each other for your amusement in a quick-witted contest of bluff and bluster with Daniel Farrow as host.

In Round One, the performers reveal absurd anecdotes, titillating tales, and raucous reminiscences about themselves and their personal lives — some of which are true, the rest of which are made up on the spot! It’s up to their fellow performers to sort fact from fiction.

In Round Two, our panelists face off against no less a foe than the English language. Ever heard of a “boodler”? How about a “bostruchyzer”? A “bouillabaisse”? Have you ever been “bedoozled,” “blenkered,” or “bamblustercated”? Confronted with outrageously obscure words from the depths of the Oxford English Dictionary, the performers once again break out their poker faces as they try to bluff their opponents into believing their definition is the correct definition — no matter how insane, inane, or incomprehensible!

NO WORD OF A LIE — an on-the-spot, off-the-cuff game of comic confabulation!
