Real Men Dance

Sports? Shaving? Eating steak? Sure, there are lots of things that so called "manly men" use to push their testosterone around, but ask any woman and she'll tell you: Real Men Dance.

Cynthia Vokey takes no prisoners in this weekly dance class/work-out for any interested parties self-identifying as men for the Highland Arts Theatre's first All-Male dance troupe.

Brush off your dancing shoes with this new course designed for a wide variety of experience levels. Whether you're honing your moves for a special occassion or just want a fun workout, you'll get pushed to the brink of human endurance and flexibility while having fun and jamming to the latest bops. Lead the pack or climb up the urban ladder - no experience necessary. All you need is a willingness to try and a desire to sweat. Cynthia Vokey (bio below) leads you through a variety of steps and combinations with something for everyone, with an emphasis on basic jazz, musical theatre, hip hop, and a variety of other styles. It’ll be fun, low-pressure, and will hopefully get you out of your comfort zone. No experience necessary! No girls allowed.

Real Men Dance will meet on Thursday evenings from 8:30 to 10:00PM starting September 19th, 2019 and running for 12 consecutive weeks to December 5th.

Registration is accepted on a "first come, first served" pending payment of Registration Fee.

Registration Fee: $100
