Creative Writing for Adults with Andrew Gouthro.

This course will focus upon vanquishing the voice of the critic, strengthening our own relationships to words and story-telling (which may remain private or be shared at will), and learning to express our meaningful thoughts, opinions, experiences (you name it) "creatively", supportively, and through daily writing exercises, we will boost one another (while I boost you all) into finding the seeds of your creative voice. From there, we should heap love, (friendly) criticism, and encouragement upon them, to be as the greatest rainfall in the forest of overlooked imagination.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older.

A note from your Instructor: "Hi, I'm Andrew Gouthro ('Andy' I beg you). There's a decent chance you've met me either working or performing at the HAT, and I hope to see a crowd of favoured faces in this new course I'll be leading for amateur creative writers. My background is as a double major in Theatre and Film, with a concentration in Poetic and Fictional Writing from Dalhousie University. I've been writing for pleasure since I could move the pen, and it's my fervent desire to inspire you, over the weeks, to become both prolific and confident in doing the same."

Classes for Creative Writing for Adults will run on Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00PM starting October 8th, 2020 and running for 10 consecutive weeks.

If necessary, a storm day make-up class will be scheduled during regular class time the week of December 14th.

Registration is accepted on a "first come, first served" pending payment of Registration Fee.

Registration Fee: $120 (+HST)

Registration is limited to 10 participants! Sign up today to avoid disappointment. First come, first serve.
