Indian Traditional Dance for Adults with Sakshi Upadhyay

Indian traditional dance is not just one particular form of dance instead it's a mixture of so many different styles of dance which includes "Bhartanatyam", "Kathak", "Garba", and semi classical dances. Your Instructor is so excited to teach these different styles of dance. "Bharatnatyam" is a South Indian dance which was named after breaking the entire name and it's meaning. "Bha" is Bhavan which means "expression". "Ra" means raga which means "Beats" and "Natyam" is nritya which means "dance". In short it is mixture of expressions, beats, and dance. Another is "Garba" which is a folk dance of Gujarat and is performed every year on "Navratri" which is 9 days long.

Participants must be 16 years of age or older.

Classes for Indian Traditional Dance will run on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30PM starting February 2nd, 2021 and run for 8 consecutive weeks.
