ADVANCED CREATE-A-PLAY! (ages 11-12)

You’ve taken classes, you’ve done a show or two, and you’re ready for the next step? Join us for our two-week Create-A-Play camp for advanced performers! Hone your skills in singing, dancing, acting, creative writing, and theatre tech during our first week, and work together as a group to create a 15 minute original musical performance during the second week.

This camp will end with a showcase performance on the last day that families will be invited to attend (as long as it remains safe to do so).

This advanced-level camp is intended for young performers, who have participated in previous HATCH or Resident Company classes, or with other previous theatre experience. Participants will rotate between instructors receiving professional education in a variety of triple threat disciplines with an emphasis on skill building AND creating their original musical performance.

Participants will receive professional training from regular HAT collaborators under the supervision of Education Coordinator Rachael Murphy.

We're doing everything possible to ensure the safety of all involved, and we want you to feel secure knowing your child is coming to an environment that places their safety first. As such, if you would like to read our most up-to-date Operational Safety Guide for HATCH 2020 (which has been created by our team based on the recommendations and requirements of Nova Scotia Health and Safety), you can find the entire document at this link: http://www.highlandartstheatre.com/hatch-2021-operations-plan
