Stage Management for Teens

Stage Management for Teens 2 hours Stage Management for Teens (ages 13-18) with Rachael Murphy

Behind every great show, is a great Stage Manager, and one day that could be you! Hang out with Rachael as she goes through all the things an SM does from before the first read, during rehearsals, tech week, all the way to closing night. We’ll look at scripts and productions, solve problems together, and try our own hand at some of the things Stage Managers have to do every day. You might like this workshop if you’ve taken: JR or High School Production Company, JR or High School Resident Company, or Theatre Activism.

Rachael Murphy (BA, Theatre Arts Certificate) has been with the HAT Academy since our very first HATCH Summer Camp as a student Group Leader, and is now very happy to be the HAT Academy’s Education Coordinator! When she isn’t answering emails, planning new programs, or teaching classes, you can sometimes find her onstage at the HAT (Alice - Alice in Wonderland, Celia -As You Like It, Past - A Christmas Carol) or backstage Stage Managing (Frozen JR, Seussical the Musical, She Loves Me) OR directing one of our JR/Teen Productions (15, Alice in Wonderland, Shrek JR).

Stage Management for Teens will run on Thursday, April 28th from 4:00-6:00pm.

Registration is accepted on a "first come, first served" pending registration.

Cost: FREE OF CHARGE (Thanks to the Highland Arts Theatre’s Radical Access Campaign)
