An Introduction to Ballet 1.5 hours An Introduction to Ballet (18+) with Geoffrey Lee-Dadswell
It is never too late to try ballet! Whether you're just looking for a way to keep moving this Tuesday evening, or you always dreamed of being a ballerina since you were little, join us for An Introduction to Ballet to fulfill those dreams. An emphasis on learning the "feel" of motion in ballet. We will aim on one hand to achieve grace of motion. On the other hand we will also try achieve explosive motions.
Geoffrey Lee-Dadswell has been involved with the HAT for several years and has danced on the HAT stage in Disco Nights, Kitchen Party, and See Jane Run. He trained as a dancer during a previous life, primarily at the National Ballet School. Today he makes his living not on stage, but as a physics professor at Cape Breton University. But he still dances actively and has run drop-in ballet classes at CBU for several years.
An Introduction to Ballet will run on Tuesday, May 17th from 6:00-7:30pm.
