Theatre Activism (ages 12-15) with Holly Schaller
This course will teach students how they can put their theatre knowledge to practical use to better their community. We will cover topics including verbatim theatre, invisible theatre, and eventually work on a performance piece based on Augusto Boal’s Forum Theatre. You might like this class if you’ve taken: Advanced Acting for Teens, Introduction to Theatre, JR or High School Resident Company, or our HATCH Summer Camps.
Holly Schaller (Bachelor of Arts: Theatre Arts Certificate, Bachelor of Education), began teaching youth theatre classes in 2015 with Class Acts Drama School. She has been teaching with the HAT Academy since 2020 and has been involved in productions such as All Together Now, and Shrek JR.
Theatre Activism will run on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00PM starting September 27th, 2022 and running for 8 consecutive weeks.
If necessary, a make-up class will be scheduled during regular class time the week of November 21st.
Registration is accepted on a "first come, first served" pending payment of Registration Fee.
