A Performance Based Training Program for the Triple Threat Experience in Acting, Singing, and Dancing.
Does your child want to be on the stage? Do they love to sing and dance and act and always want to show off their talent? Join us for this semester’s JR Resident Company where we will spend our time rehearsing a musical number for The Story of Tonight: A HAT Academy Showcase as well as learning new skills, playing games, and working together as a team. You might like this class if you’ve taken: Let's Play!, JR Sings, or "JR" JR Resident Company.
Please Note: This is a performance based class. This means that participants in this class will be involved in The Story of Tonight: A HAT Academy Showcase. If you are interested in a skills based class with no performance, please consider our JR Sings, Theatre Activism, or Musical Roulette class.
Over 8 weeks, participants will receive professional training from regular HAT collaborators under the supervision of Education Coordinator, Rachael Murphy. Music will be taught by Suzanne Doane (See Jane Run, The Wakowski Brothers), Dance will be taught by TBA, and Acting by Rachael Murphy (Alice in Wonderland, See Jane Run, As You Like It).
JR Resident Company will run on Wednesday evenings from 4:00 to 6:00PM starting September 28th, 2022 and running for 8 consecutive weeks.
Participants will need to also be available for these dates for tech rehearsals and the performance: November 23rd-27th.
